Home Technology Solutions, Inc. provides personal emergency response services, as well as other adaptive home living technologies. Our organization allows an individual (subscriber) to remain in their home with the added peace of mind that comes with knowing help is only a button push away. Our subscribers are monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our staff is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Using one’s natural support system of neighbors, friends and family, HTS can send someone to the subscriber’s home within minutes. If the situation is more serious, local emergency services are alerted.
We got our start in 1982 when Dr. Cramer Reed realized what a vital service personal emergency response provides, and what that could mean to an individual wanting to remain independent in their own home. Fueled by Dr. Reed’s vision, we were established and have continued to grow and change throughout the years.
We started with a small, one room basement office filled with index cards with our subscriber’s information. These meticulous records of each subscriber’s age, health concerns, medical allergies, physician and family contacts were—and are—collected to help ensure well-informed assistance is sent when needed. We assembled a Board of Trustees, established our mission and dug deep into community partnerships.
Now nearly 30 years later, Home Technology Solutions, Inc. continues to uphold the same mission imparted to us by Dr. Reed. Physicians, hospitals and other healthcare professionals refer patients to us on a daily basis. They count on our service to deliver help to their patients at a moment’s notice. Not only do our subscribers depend on our services, but also family members, friends, neighbors and caregivers who rest easier, knowing there’s a system in place to get help.
We serve individuals throughout South Central Kansas and continue to provide our services with all the commitment, dedication and compassion possible. Looking forward, there remains a tremendous demand for personal emergency response and other adaptive home living technologies.
